New Contract boosts Private Income for DPA Members
68% of DPA members have experienced an increase in private income since the introduction of the New Contract
Research conducted by the Dental Practitioners Association amongst it members in September 2007, revealed some interesting findings about levels of activity following the introduction of the new contract in 2006.
- 68% of respondents reported an increase in private income
- 93% of respondents believe access to NHS dentistry has not improved
- 93% said the UDA system is not workable as it is
- 73% stated that the new system is not easy to understand
- 64% said they would not stay in the NHS after April 2009
The results, published in The GDP (volume 19, issue 6), form part of the DPA’s evidence to the Doctors and Dentists Review Body which can be downloaded at www.uk-dentistry.org.
