Showcase Update
The BDTA is aiming to make this year’s BDTA Dental Showcase the best yet and has introduced a number of new initiatives to enhance the event and maintain its position as the UK’s leading dental exhibition.
Exhibition stand information
The BDTA is delighted to announce that over 220 stands (please check before going to print!) have been booked for this year’s BDTA Dental Showcase. The floor plan and exhibitor manual is now available and initial stand numbers have been allocated. Exhibition stand awards
The BDTA recognises that substantial resources are invested in designing, building and manning exhibition stands and has decided to reward the efforts of exhibitors at this year’s event with a series of exhibition stand awards.
Visitors will be asked to rate stands on the following factors as they leave the event:

Overall stand layout and appearance

Friendliness/helpfulness of exhibition staff

Range of information/products on display
The BDTA will cover the cost of a full page advertisement in a leading dental magazine for the exhibitor with the most votes in each category. The winners will also benefit from post Showcase publicity relating to the prize.
Visitor marketing campaign
This year ‘A Recipe for Success’ has been chosen as the theme for marketing BDTA Dental Showcase 2008 to the dental trade and profession. As well as allowing the use of colourful, appetising pictures, the theme offers lots of food related promotional opportunities before, during and after the event. The concept of eating, which centres on the mouth, links both food and dentistry perfectly and the increasing demand for aesthetically pleasing food connects with the increased demand for an aesthetically pleasing smile.
The marketing campaign runs for almost nine months and results in the UK’s largest dental exhibition, so it is important we get it right. This year’s theme also provides a clever interpretation of the Dental Showcase ‘dining’ experience, starting with the anticipation of attending the exhibition, then the inspiration from looking at the products and services on display and ultimately the satisfaction of finding the desired product or service.
The campaign is well under way and visitor registrations are flooding in. For the first time this year, visitors are able to register by text in addition to the online, telephone and postal methods. Complimentary daily seminars are being held within the hall covering the core CPD subject areas recommended by the GDC and there will be food related promotional initiatives to link in with the marketing theme throughout the event.
Encourage your customers to register
By registering for tickets in advance members of the dental team receive all the latest news about Showcase and a copy of the official show guide and floor plan. It also means they save the £10 on-the-day registration fee and avoid the queues on exhibition days, giving them more time to spend with you in the exhibition hall!

Advance registration closes 26 September 2008. On-the-day registration fee is £10 per person.
