Under the Association’s Code of Practice, members are responsible for ensuring that their staff has the ongoing experience, product knowledge and ability necessary to perform their duties properly and effectively.  This includes effective and timely response to customers’ queries.

As a minimum, all relevant staff should have attained the BDTA Certificate: Introduction to Dentistry within two years of commencement of employment with a member. If you are studying the introduction to dentistry course, why not have a go at the mock exam — click the link at the top of this page.

BDTA Training courses are available to assist in this process and provide benchmark training standards within the dental industry.  The BDTA is also a source of information and advice on training, educational and career issues within the dental industry. Click on the link above for more details of these and other courses within the dental industry.

The BDTA is currently compiling a compendium of training and course providers. Would you like to submit an evaluation? Evaluations are welcomed from the department responsible for training in your organisation, as well as individuals who have information to offer.
Please complete the online evaluation by clicking here and your comments will be added to the Compendium.
