BDTA Annual Conference 2009
"Economic Challenge – Business Opportunity"
28-29 May 2009
Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel, Bath
The BDTA is pleased to announce that the BDTA Annual Conference will take place in the city of Bath on 28–29 May 2009. The venue of choice is the Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel, conveniently located only a short distance from the city centre. This charming Georgian mansion is one of the finest 5-star hotels in the country, and its superb facilities will guarantee you have a delightful stay.
With speculation about the length and severity of the recession looming over the economy, the reduction in available credit and the loss of perceived values in property and investment that follow as a consequence mean few businesses will remain unaffected. Therefore it is appropriate that the theme of the 2009 conference should be “Economic Challenge – Business Opportunity”, with the aim to explore what strategies are available to make the most of this challenging time.
Our speaker line-up includes:
- Kevin Lewis, Dental Protection Ltd
- Peter Ward, British Dental Association
- Malcolm Counihan & Hilton Freund, FooCo Ltd
- Professor Richard Scase
- Bridge2Aid
The remaining speakers will be announced in spring 2009.
The BDTA Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 28 May 2009. All BDTA member companies are welcome to attend the AGM, free of charge. Following comments received through the 2008 Membership Survey and from the Marketing Committee, Council has also decided to hold a debate to discuss the Association’s Showcase calendar. The debate will take place immediately after the AGM and is open to all members.
For a full programme of events, please download the conference brochure below.
* Please note that the golfing venue has changed from Bath Golf Club to Cumberwell Park Golf Club. It is hoped that the earlier tee off time of 10 a.m. at Cumberwell Park will allow golfers to return to the conference in time to attend the AGM and Showcase debate at 5 p.m. For more information on Cumberwell Park Golf Club, visit www.cumberwellpark.com.
Business sessions combined with social events make the BDTA Annual Conference an excellent occasion for leading members, as well as newcomers to the dental trade, to build connections and exchange ideas.
We look forward to seeing you at the 2009 BDTA Annual Conference.
