BDTA Council Elections 2009

Amidst the hype of the Parliamentary Elections taking place across Europe on 4 June, the BDTA held its own ballot to elect and appoint members of its council.

The AGM held on 28 May 2009 at the Association’s Annual Conference in Bath saw the election of two new councillors, the re-election of an existing council member and the appointment of the next BDTA President and Vice-President.

Edward Attenborough, Managing Director of Attenborough Direct was appointed as the next President and will take over from current BDTA President, Simon Gambold, on 1 January 2010. Karen Turner, Managing Director of Dentafix, was put forward as the next Vice-President and was voted in by an overwhelming majority of members. Karen will also assume the role from January 2010.

Simon Tucker, Director at Medenta Finance, and Mike Cann, General Manager of Septodont, were both elected as new members of Council with immediate effect. Peter Gowers, Managing Director of Panadent, was re-elected to Council and will continue to serve the Association in this capacity.
