Exhibition stands were judged on a number of key factors, including presentation, professionalism, stand layout and appearance, staffing, and the range of products/information on display.

There were three award-winning stands in total and each will receive a full-page advert in their choice of dental magazine.

AEO judge Paula Ripoll commented, “I thoroughly enjoyed my day at BDTA Dental Showcase. The stands were of very high quality and the staff manning them were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and really welcoming. I have been to many shows and can honestly say that the BDTA Dental Showcase was the perfect platform for business. Many companies deserved first prize, unfortunately there could only be one winner per category, making my job as a judge a very difficult one! Congratulations to all.”

The winners were as follows:

Small Stand/Shell-Scheme

Winner: Dentyl Active

Highly commended: Designer Dental/Designer Dental Training

Dentyl Active made the most of their available space and turned a basic shell scheme into a personalised, beautifully branded and alluring stand. Every detail was carefully considered: from the lighting to the stand graphics. Their staff were friendly, approachable and very happy to help visitors. Their stand featured a sink where visitors could try their range of products and Dentyl Active staff gave away samples and product information. Dentyl Active sure know how to exhibit! And they looked like they were really enjoying it too. Congratulations!

Medium Stand

Winner: Dental Dynamix Imaging

Highly commended: Curaprox

Judge Paula Ripoll commented:

In terms of design and functionality, Dental Dynamix Imaging achieved the perfect balance and the result was a contemporary, professional and very welcoming stand. Something that really stood them apart was the fact that their stand appeared very clean and uncluttered yet well-equipped with products and truly informative. Their staff were proactive, engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. The plasma screens showcased their products and were a focal point and a great way to attract people to their stand. Their stand also featured a meeting area where expert staff could inform visitors and customers in more detail.

Large Stand

Winner: Philips Sonicare

Highly commended: Septodont, Practice Plan Ltd.

Judge Paula Ripoll commented:

Philips Sonicare’s stand was beautifully designed, very welcoming, their staff were friendly and very helpful and they even conducted a live demonstration - they had run a competition prior to the show and selected a winner, who was invited to sit on the chair on Friday and experience their new product.
