Martin Mills wins BDTA Award

The BDTA award for outstanding contribution to the dental industry was presented to Martin Mills, Managing Director of The Dental Directory at the BDA Honours and Awards Dinner, which took place on 26 November 2009 in London.

Martin joined his father’s company, Billericay Dental, in 1985 and has since overseen the development of The Dental Directory, concentrating his efforts on modernising the supply chain to minimise cost and to improve customer service levels.  The recent £6m investment in an automated distribution system is just the latest in a long line of innovations which have helped to establish The Dental Directory as the largest privately owned dental dealer in the UK.

Martin has also been a BDTA Council member and continues to be a generous sponsor of educational opportunities throughout the profession. He is a very worthy winner of the BDTA award.

248 members of the dental community, including dentists, dental care professionals and other stakeholders attended the BDTA sponsored event and the evening also featured presentations by the BDA in recognition of service to dentistry.
