Dennis Carrol passes away

We regret to announce that Dennis Carroll succumbed to his illness and passed away on 10 June 2009. Dennis, formerly General Manager at 3M Espe, was well known and respected throughout the dental industry in both the UK and Europe. He was a very active member of the dental trade, influencing the careers of many and will be greatly missed. Dennis became BDTA President in 1993 and served two consecutive terms of office followed by ten dedicated years as a Council member… We regret to announce that Dennis Carroll succumbed to his illness and passed away on 10 June 2009. Dennis, formerly General Manager at 3M Espe, was well known and respected throughout the dental industry in both the UK and Europe. He was a very active member of the dental trade, influencing the careers of many and will be greatly missed. Dennis became BDTA President in 1993 and served two consecutive terms of office followed by ten dedicated years as a Council member. As President he undertook a successful recruitment drive for new members and encouraged existing members to become more actively involved in the Association. He was delighted to be presented with a scroll commemorating the addition of his name to the BDTA Roll of Honour in 2005. As an Honorary member of the FIDE European Statistics Committee, Dennis worked determinedly to encourage the dental trade associations across Europe to submit data for the annual market trends report. He was also the President of the British Dental Health Foundation until 2008. Some five or so years ago, Dennis and his partner Kath moved to Scotland. He very much enjoyed the tranquil, rural setting which enabled him to spend time on his much loved hobby of wildlife photography. |
